Welsh Cookies

This is an old family recipe from my great-great grandmother who moved to Pennsylvania from Wales. **contributed by aimellah**

Ingredients:
5 C. flour
1 C. currants
2 C. sugar
1 tsp nutmeg
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt

Mix everything together and add:
2 eggs, well-beaten
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 C. milk
chopped walnuts(optional)

Roll and cut with a circle shape cookie cutter. Raw, rolled out dough should be about an inch thick when cutting. Bake on a griddle, medium heat, turning often until brown on each side. Makes about 5 dozen.
